Ansiedad matemática y expectativas parentales: un estudio correlacional en estudiantes de secundaria.

Resumen

Este estudio cualitativo explora la influencia de las expectativas de los padres percibidas en las experiencias de ansiedad en matemáticas de todos los estudiantes del aprendizaje fundamental II en una escuela pública secundaria. Utilizando entrevistas semiestruturadas, as narrativas de 25 alunos do 7º ao 10º ano foram analisadas tematicamente para comprender as origins, manifestações, estratégias de enfrentamento e o impact mais amplo da ansiedade em matemática moldada pela pressão dos pais. Os resultados revelam quatro categorias temáticas principais: (1) Expectativas e Pressões Parentais Percebidas, destacando os fardos emocionais dos alunos resultantes de altas expectativas, comparações familiares e sinais não verbais de desapontamento; (2) Indicações de Ansiedade em Matemática e Seus Desencadeadores, mostrando o sofrimento emocional dos alunos, bloqueos cognitivos y respuestas fisiológicas, como náusea, durante tarefas matemáticas; (3) Estratégias de Enfrentamento e Sistemas de Apoio, em que os alunos recorrem à iniciativa pessoal, ao apoio de irmãos ou ao incentivo de profesores para lidar com o estresse; e (4) Influência no Bem-Estar Acadêmico e Pessoal, ilustrando que a ansiedade em matemática afeta negativamente o autoconceito acadêmico, a motivação e a saúde mental.

Los resultados están en consonancia con los estudios recientes de la Universidad de Loughborough (2025), Dialnet (2025) y OECD PISA (2023), lo que sugiere que la presión de los padres contribuye significativamente al aumento de la ansiedad y a la disminución del desempleo. El estudio resalta la necesidad de una participación parental más empática y solidaria y destaca el papel fundamental de los ambientes domésticos y escolares en la promoción de la resiliencia matemática y del bienestar emocional de los alumnos.
