Diversitas Journal, in its Volume 11, Number 3, presents to the academic community the theme The dynamics of science in the face of conflicts in global geopolitics, reaffirming its commitment to plural, interdisciplinary, and socially engaged scientific dissemination. In an international context marked by territorial disputes, humanitarian crises, technological transformations, economic inequalities, and environmental tensions, science is called upon to rethink its pathways, ethical commitments, and social role.

This issue invites reflection on how the production of scientific knowledge is shaped by the dynamics of contemporary geopolitics. Wars, population displacement, disputes over natural resources, the reorganization of production chains, food security, technological sovereignty, and climate challenges show that science does not develop apart from history, politics, and international relations.

By bringing together contributions from different fields of knowledge, Diversitas Journal seeks to encourage critical debate on the role of scientific research in understanding and addressing global conflicts. In this context, interdisciplinarity becomes an essential condition for interpreting complex problems and building responses guided by cooperation, social justice, sustainability, and the defense of life.

Thus, this issue reaffirms the importance of science as a public, democratic, and solidarity-based practice capable of crossing disciplinary and national borders. In the face of conflicts in global geopolitics, producing knowledge also means taking part in the construction of possible pathways toward more critical, inclusive, sustainable societies committed to peace.
