Abstract

ABSTRACT: This study focuses on the partial results of the National Education Plan 2014-2024 with regard to the goals for Higher Education, demonstrating in which aspects and on what scale they have been developed, assessing the trend for the coming years and the possibility of effective compliance. The analysis is based on bibliographic data and a quantitative survey of the numbers presented in official documents about the fulfillment of PNE goals. The results point to the partial or total accomplishment of the goals numerically, but not of its objectives in a complete way.Proposals aimed at social inclusion and data related to this scenario are brought up in this study, which aims to help understand the progress of policies and actions aimed at the expansion and quality of Higher Education in Brazil and social inclusion at this level of education in this decade.
