Habilidades adquiridas de los graduados de una universidad filipina local y su relevancia para su trabajo actual: una encuesta de seguimiento

Los empleadores necesitan graduados que estén mejor preparados para el lugar de trabajo. En Filipinas, las instituciones de educación superior (HEI) deben generar graduados competentes que puedan adaptarse a industrias que cambian rápidamente, en particular, habilidades y competencias. Para evaluar esto, las IES realizan regularmente encuestas o estudios de seguimiento o de empleabilidad para garantizar que los graduados posean las competencias y habilidades que necesitan los empleadores y que el plan de estudios sea relevante para las necesidades de la industria. Por esta razón, los investigadores realizaron este estudio para documentar las características del empleo, la transición al empleo y las habilidades adquiridas mientras estudiaban en una universidad local de graduados del año escolar (SY) 2016-2017 al SY 2020-2021. El hallazgo más destacado es que los graduados de la universidad local ven que las competencias y habilidades que adquirieron mientras estudiaban en la escuela son beneficiosas en sus carreras y ayudan a sus clasificaciones y salarios. El objetivo de la universidad de ser la opción número uno para los graduados empleables se manifiesta en el lugar de trabajo.
