From traditional to online dating: its application on the couples therapy

Resumen

El estudio examinó cómo los participantes pasaron de estar en un entorno de citas tradicional a un entorno de citas en línea cuando se produjo la pandemia. Se empleó un análisis fenomenológico interpretativo (IPA) para explorar y dar significado a las experiencias de ocho filipinos que utilizaron las citas en línea a través de las redes sociales para entablar relaciones románticas. El estudio destacó que los participantes experimentaron tanto felicidad como conexión, lo que los llevó a convertirse en mejores personas gracias a la relación en línea. Los participantes se adaptaron al uso de la tecnología para expresar su interés, sentimientos y cuidado por la otra persona haciendo esfuerzos por conocer a la otra persona, pasando tiempo de calidad entre ellos y asegurándose de que la comunicación esté siempre ahí para garantizar que la La otra persona se sentirá segura, cuidada y amada. Han superado desafíos, pero hubo problemas relacionados con la falta de confianza y relaciones de mala calidad como las de las personas que se citaban tradicionalmente en el período prepandémico, para los cuales se recomendaron enfoques específicos de terapia de pareja.
