Estigma de la salud mental, servicios y profesionales de salud mental e intervenciones en Filipinas

Esta revisión de investigación explora los desafíos multifacéticos de la salud mental en Filipinas, centrándose en tres áreas clave: el estigma de la salud mental, la disponibilidad de servicios y profesionales, y las intervenciones efectivas. Una revisión de la literatura académica revela que los problemas de salud mental a menudo no se tratan debido a barreras significativas, incluidos los costos financieros, la inaccesibilidad y una grave escasez de profesionales e instalaciones calificados. Esta investigación tiene como objetivo sintetizar los estudios existentes para proporcionar una comprensión más clara de estos problemas e identificar posibles soluciones. La revisión emplea una metodología de revisión sistemática de la literatura, analizando artículos académicos de bases de datos como Google Scholar, PubMed, PsycINFO y APA PsycNET. La revisión se centró en cómo se manifiesta el estigma en el contexto filipino, el estado de los servicios de salud mental y las estrategias utilizadas por los profesionales para crear conciencia y reducir el estigma.
