Integración del análisis de datos en la educación matemática: un marco de desarrollo de programas para la educación superior politécnica

La creciente necesidad de profesionales con competencias en el manejo de datos y tecnología ha impulsado a la educación superior a replantear programas que integren la formación en matemáticas, análisis y tecnología. Este artículo presenta el marco de desarrollo de un programa de Licenciatura en Matemáticas con especialización en Análisis de Datos y subespecialización en Educación Tecnológica (BSMath-DATEd), diseñado para el ámbito de la educación politécnica. El estudio empleó un diseño cualitativo descriptivo basado en el análisis documental, la revisión bibliográfica y entrevistas con informantes clave —miembros del profesorado y administradores— involucrados en el desarrollo curricular o en la garantía de la calidad. El análisis temático identificó tres etapas en el proceso de desarrollo: Planificación y Diseño, orientada a garantizar el cumplimiento de los estándares académicos nacionales, la preparación del profesorado y los requisitos de espacio para el aprendizaje; Retroalimentación y Evaluación, relativa a la participación de las partes interesadas, las políticas institucionales y el marco normativo y legal; y Mejora Continua, que establece un esquema para el perfeccionamiento sostenible del programa mediante el monitoreo constante y la evaluación comparativa (*benchmarking*). Desarrollo de competencias tecnológicas con rigor analítico: el marco propuesto. Mientras que DeLiema, Alexandre y Mohr-Smith (2018) ofrecen una guía para enseñar el concepto del tetraedro —fundamental en toda labor de ingeniería—, el presente trabajo define una estructura de conocimiento de naturaleza tetraédrica, especialmente idónea para instituciones politécnicas que deseen crear o actualizar un programa académico. Este estudio contribuye a la educación técnica y profesional al ofrecer una guía práctica para la innovación curricular, respondiendo así a las demandas cambiantes de la economía digital.
