Avaliação do impacto de um programa de capacitação baseado em extensão no crescimento profissional de professores e nas perspectivas de pesquisa-ação

Resumo

Este estudo avaliou o impacto de um projeto de extensão de capacitação iniciado por um instituto de formação de professores na região de Bicol, nas Filipinas, para uma escola de ensino fundamental na mesma região. A eficácia do programa em melhorar as competências dos professores na condução de pesquisa-ação foi examinada. Quatorze entrevistados participaram. Usando uma abordagem simultânea de métodos mistos, os dados foram coletados por meio de pesquisas, entrevistas, análise de documentos e discussões em grupos focais. Os dados quantitativos foram analisados ​​usando médias ponderadas e distribuições de frequência, enquanto os dados qualitativos foram interpretados usando análise temática. A Teoria da Mudança serviu como uma estrutura orientadora para avaliar os resultados da iniciativa de extensão. Os resultados indicaram que, embora os participantes geralmente tivessem percepções positivas do programa, ele não atingiu totalmente seus objetivos pretendidos. Muitos professores estavam relutantes ou incapazes de participar da pesquisa-ação, e vários não propuseram, conduziram, implementaram ou publicaram artigos de pesquisa. Um desafio-chave identificado foi a falta de tempo, que os impediu de concluir atividades relacionadas à pesquisa. Essas descobertas destacam a necessidade de o instituto de formação de professores fortalecer seus serviços de extensão aumentando as horas de contato e fornecendo suporte contínuo até a fase de publicação, promovendo assim um comprometimento consistente com a pesquisa e melhorando os resultados gerais.
