Inteligência Artificial e Pesquisa: Atitudes entre Disciplinas e Níveis Educacionais nas Filipinas

Resumo

A rápida integração da Inteligência Artificial (IA) na sociedade exige a compreensão de sua aceitação, especialmente em ambientes acadêmicos que moldam futuros inovadores. Este estudo de métodos mistos, fundamentado na Teoria do Comportamento Planejado, examinou se a aceitação da IA ​​entre estudantes de graduação e pós-graduação nas Filipinas poderia ser prevista por suas atitudes em relação à pesquisa e por fatores individuais. Os dados, coletados nas regiões de Luzon, Visayas e Mindanao utilizando a Escala de Atitudes Gerais em Relação à Inteligência Artificial (GAAIS) e a escala de Atitude em Relação à Pesquisa (ATR), revelaram que os estudantes apresentavam uma atitude de neutra a positiva em relação à pesquisa e uma atitude mista — variando de positiva a negativa — em relação à IA. Fundamentalmente, a análise não encontrou relação significativa entre variáveis ​​individuais correlatas e a atitude em relação à IA, nem entre a atitude em relação à pesquisa e a atitude em relação à IA. Temas qualitativos destacaram "O Que e o Como" (The Know and the How), "A Desconexão Digital" (The Digital DISconnect) e "O Mundo da Dependência do Copiar e Colar" (The Copy-and-Paste Dependence World), levando à conclusão de que características demográficas não são os principais determinantes das atitudes em relação à IA neste contexto, e recomendando o desenvolvimento de atividades de pesquisa responsáveis ​​que incorporem a IA.
