ABSTRACT: This work presents the results of one of the initial activities carried out by the Institutional Program for Teaching Initiation Scholarships (PIBID), from the State University of Alagoas (UNEAL) of the Biological Sciences course, in 2018, the school diagnosis. The purpose of this study was to learn about the school space as a context for the program's scholarship holders, allowing for an analysis and perception of the possibilities that exist in the school community. In this activity several aspects of the school were analyzed, among which the following stand out: the recognition of the physical space and the study of the Political Pedagogical Project. Through this activity, it was possible to verify the perception of the school's Biology teacher about the difficulties in students 'learning, choice of the profession of educator, assessment of students' behavior in relation to the discipline of Biology and the didactic resources used in the classroom . It can be said that the present activity has brought positive results, as it has helped us to know the reality in which the school is inserted, as well as its potentialities and relevant difficulties, helping us a lot as Pibidians and future teachers. The activity was developed in one of PIBID's partner schools, located in the city of Arapiraca - AL.
