Destino dos resíduos sólidos produzidos pelas famílias de alunos da Escola Estadual Medianeira, Ajuricaba/RS

ABSTRACT: The search for a healthier life presupposes, among other conditions, a place for families to live in a sustainable environment with quality of life. Thus, the objective of this work was to identify the fate given to solid waste in the rural properties of the families of students of the, Escola Estadual de Ensino Fundamental Medianeira, Ajuricaba /RS. Also it was the objective of the research, to collect suggestions from the families about what the municipal administration could do to solve or to alleviate the problem of the incorrect waste disposal in the rural space. As for the approach, it is characterized as qualitative and among the instruments used to obtain data and information are questionnaires, bibliographic research. The results show that all the families participating in the research are aware of the negative consequences of the incorrect disposal waste to the environment and health, however, there is a contradiction in what happens in practice. The public administration and the rural population must seek to join efforts to reduce the impacts caused by the incorrect disposal of waste.
