Abstract

ABSTRACT: This article aims to analyze the economic feasibility of implementing an interpretive ecotourism trail in the municipality of Murici (AL). For the elaboration of the trail, the Interpretative Points Attractiveness Indicators (IAPI) method was used, and a structured questionnaire was applied to the residents of the community in 2017. For the feasibility analysis, the main costs and revenues for the implantation and the survey were raised. trail operation. Subsequently, the analysis of the Payback period and the Net Present Value (NPV) was carried out, based on the projected cash flows. The results revealed that the residents of the Porto Velho community are favorable to the implementation of the interpretive trail and were willing to assume the management. The financial analysis showed the viability of the investment. Thus, it was concluded that there is ecotourism potential in the region and the returns to be obtained on the investment make it feasible to implement the interpretive trail in the locality.
