Filme Extraordinário: Resenha direcionada para a atuação do Cirurgião Dentista na Síndrome Treacher Collins

ABSTRACT: In the drama “Wonder”, the daily life of a boy with Treacher Collins Syndrome is portrayed, a genetic condition characterized by craniofacial abnormalities. In this review, the production is analyzed from the perspective of the Dental Surgeon. The protagonist, has abnormalities in the stomatognathic, maxillofacial and maxillomandibular systems. The film reports that, despite the protagonist having undergone several surgical procedures that brought him aesthetic and functional benefits, the procedures were not enough to correct all his abnormalities, which, in turn, interferes with the child's acceptance in the social environment. This film can be used as an educational video in academic training in Dentistry and other areas of health.
