Resumo

O modelo atual de prática da psicologia clínica é menos adequado aos padrões mundiais. Refletimos sobre o que e onde se encaixa a psicologia clínica hoje após a ocorrência de uma pandemia mundial passando por uma revisão teórica sobre observação clínica, equipes multidisciplinares, relação terapêutica e mudança e desafios da psicologia clínica. As consequências da pandemia do Covid-19 estão surgindo na saúde mental onde a comunicação entre clientes e terapeutas está mudando as novas tecnologias estão produzindo conteúdos de saúde mental e a pergunta permanece: a inteligência artificial tecnológica pode substituir um terapeuta humano? São apresentadas reflexões sobre os âmbitos da psicologia clínica como uma das primeiras subdisciplinas emergentes da psicologia. Espero que a conexão interpessoal, olho no olho, ações verbais e não verbais ainda sejam consideradas cruciais na compreensão do sofrimento psicológico. O que mais importa é a qualidade dos relacionamentos que desenvolvemos e mantemos ao longo de nossas vidas. A tecnologia pode ajudar nesse objetivo, mas nunca poderá substituí-lo.
