ABSTRACT: The Municipality of Barcarena (PA) has historically been impacted by technological and environmental disasters, which have generated significant impacts in the region. In the beginning of 2018, a mining company wastewater overflowed in the municipality, which directly affected the environment and the quality of life of the local population. Therefore, the objective was to identify and evaluate the impacts related to the socioeconomic and environmental situations of the Bom Futuro community, in Barcarena, before and after the last disasters that occurred. Methodologically, the research was carried out through an evaluative form that sought to carry out a Socioeconomic and Environmental Regressive Analysis (SEA), between 2015 and 2018, about the impacts generated by the latest disasters in the community. Among the results, it was found that in the socioeconomic dimension there was a drop in most attributes and in the dimension natural resources and environment, high contamination and ecological imbalance were verified. Regarding the empowerment dimension, it was observed that the strong civil organization in the past has been weakening and not even successive accidents have managed to unite the members of the locality to actively fight for their rights. Regarding the public policy dimension, there was a slight setback, as only a few social demands were met.
