O setor de produtos de informática, eletrônicos e ópticos: uma perspectiva a partir do cenário econômico

ABSTRACT: It is important to execute analysis that contribute to a greater understanding of our domestic economy. Thereby, this work intends to understand its behavior and trajectory of the electronic industry sector in the Brazilian economy in last decade. For that, we used microdata collected in the Pesquisa Industrial Anual (PIA) with intention of tracing fundamental characteristics and trends of the division over the years. The theoretical reference proposes innovation and technological progress as a stimulating for the progress of the sector, briefly visits the introduction of the computer industry in Brazil and the policies carried out with the purpose of promoting the division. In addition, transformation industry was compared the sector 26. Therefore, we demonstrate an apparent deceleration in the division, based on the negative impact of the politics and economics disturbance that occurred in the decade under analysis. The reduction in the number of registered companies, employed people and the profit margin rate, the increase in stocks and costs incurred in the sector evidenced this fact. Finally, the generation of income at the level of the analyzed groups stands out, which was responsible for the performance obtained by health-related equipment and materials, which have greater technological complexity and a higher degree of added value.
