Over time, the educational process has incorporated new perspectives, driven by the implementation of innovative methodologies aimed at facilitating learning. This study aims to analyze the impacts of field classes on the teacher training process in Geography at the State University of Rio Grande do Norte (UERN), Advanced Campus of Pau dos Ferros (CAPF), highlighting its relevance in the articulation between theory and practice in the Brazilian educational scenario. The justification for this research is based on the need for the effective inclusion of field classes in the Brazilian teacher training curriculum, especially in the Geography course at UERN. This practice contributes to strengthening teacher training and to conducting geographical research in the Alto Oeste Potiguar region. It is expected that the results obtained will identify in-depth perceptions about the role of field classes in academic training, as well as in strengthening extension practices that promote enriching experiences for the curriculum. Furthermore, it aims to encourage the development and improvement of more effective pedagogical practices in education. Thus, the present research takes on a relevant character, being based on documentary analysis and the collection of detailed perceptions about the importance of field classes in the academic context.
