Resumen

Este estudio exploró el perfil del profesor ideal para la Generación Z. La investigación empleó un enfoque secuencial explicativo de métodos mixtos. El objetivo del diseño transformador de métodos mixtos es explorar la realidad a partir de los estilos de enseñanza preferidos por los estudiantes, su percepción del profesor ideal y cómo los docentes pueden satisfacer sus expectativas. Los hallazgos revelaron que el estilo de enseñanza preferido y la forma más eficaz de enseñar a estos estudiantes es el aprendizaje experiencial. Además, según la percepción de los estudiantes de la Generación Z, un profesor ideal debe tener valores positivos, brindar apoyo emocional y tener conocimientos tecnológicos. Asimismo, se reveló que un docente debe enfatizar el desarrollo de habilidades, estar al tanto de las tendencias actuales, adaptarse a la revolución digital y ser consciente de las diferencias y necesidades individuales para satisfacer las expectativas de la Generación Z. Esto también proporciona información y sirve como guía sobre cómo los docentes satisfacen las expectativas de la Generación Z, basándose en los datos recopilados de los participantes. Con base en esto, se desarrolló un material didáctico que incluye los diferentes estilos de enseñanza que prefieren los estudiantes y las diferentes actividades que pueden ayudar a los docentes a adaptarse a estos estilos.
