Resumen

El estudio buscó brindar una comprensión profunda de las experiencias vividas y las historias personales de los profesores veteranos de inglés a lo largo de su trayectoria profesional. Se empleó un diseño de investigación cualitativa de indagación narrativa. Ocho profesores veteranos de inglés fueron seleccionados intencionalmente mediante un muestreo intencional en cadena. Las experiencias vividas se exploraron a través de entrevistas semiestructuradas con preguntas abiertas suficientes para abordar las preguntas de investigación de este estudio. Los datos recopilados se codificaron, categorizaron y analizaron temáticamente mediante el análisis temático de Braun y Clarke. El estudio reveló que factores como la pasión y el compromiso, la dedicación, la flexibilidad y la resiliencia de los docentes les permiten permanecer más tiempo en la profesión docente.
