ABSTRACT: This attendant research pursues to check the applicability of a didactic game in teaching about biodiversity of Tumucumaque Mountains National Park (TMNP). Initially, a questionnaire with closed-ended questions was applied, to get empirical information about the TNMP by the students and the utilization of didactic games in school learning. Posteriorly, a lecture was done to teach the aspects of the protected areas of Amapa, focusing mainly on PARNA Tumucumaque. At the end of the lecture, the students used a roulette game, purposing that the students could learn, in a relaxed way, characteristics about fauna and flora of the conservation unity studied. At the end of the activities, the students received the questionnaire one more time, to gather the knowledge achieved after theorical and practical activities about the PARNA Tumucumaque. When questioned about using a roulette game to learn the aspects of fauna and flora of PARNA Tumucumaque, the results showed that 100% (N=32) of the students were favorable to the game utilization during the learning process. Demonstrating that the students show interest in learning with an alternative methodology, different from the traditional classes, and that the ludic can be efficient in teaching about the characteristics of Amapa’s conservation unities.
