Validez estructural de las creencias incrementales y de entidad en estudiantes filipinos de educación secundaria básica

El presente estudio validó la escala de teoría implícita de la inteligencia (TII) desarrollada por Abd-El-Fattah y Yates (2006). Los participantes fueron 1300 estudiantes de secundaria de 7.º a 10.º grado de la División de la Ciudad de Malaybalay durante el año escolar 2022-2023. El análisis factorial exploratorio extrajo siete ítems de la escala TII original de 14 ítems, conformando una nueva estructura factorial. El análisis factorial confirmatorio reveló un ajuste excelente para la escala de 7 ítems. Por lo tanto, la escala TII de 7 ítems demuestra suficiente validez estructural y de constructo. Además, los siete ítems proporcionaron evidencia de validez de criterio. En consecuencia, la escala TII de 7 ítems es una herramienta válida para medir la teoría de la mentalidad de los estudiantes filipinos de secundaria. Sin embargo, se anima a los investigadores del campo a replicar el análisis para complementar y verificar los hallazgos actuales utilizando una muestra diferente de estudiantes filipinos. La obtención de evidencia adicional sobre la fiabilidad y la validez de criterio de la escala constituye otro ámbito de investigación para otros investigadores.
