Validade Estrutural das Crenças Incrementais e de Entidade entre Alunos Filipinos do Ensino Fundamental II

Resumo

O presente estudo validou a escala da teoria implícita da inteligência (ITI) gerada por Abd-El-Fattah e Yates (2006). Os inquiridos foram os 1 300 alunos do 7.º ao 10.º ano do ensino secundário da Divisão da Cidade da Malásia para o ano letivo de 2022-2023. A análise fatorial exploratória extraiu sete itens da escala ITI original de 14 itens, formando uma nova estrutura fatorial. A análise fatorial confirmatória revelou um excelente ajuste para a escala de 7 itens. Assim, a escala ITI de 7 itens demonstra suficiente validade estrutural e construtiva. Além disso, os sete elementos comprovam a validade do critério. Portanto, a escala ITI de 7 itens é uma ferramenta válida que pode medir a teoria da mentalidade do estudante filipino do ensino médio. No entanto, os estudiosos no campo são encorajados a replicar a análise para complementar e verificar os resultados atuais usando uma amostra diferente de estudantes filipinos. Evidências adicionais para a confiabilidade da escala e validade do critério é outro escopo para outros pesquisadores investigarem.
