ABSTRACT: The presence of arboviruses in Brazil has become a growing public health problem and concerns about its impacts on the population are not recent. Currently, the three arboviruses most important to public health are dengue, Chikungunya and Zika virus, which are capable of being transmitted by the same insect vectors, Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus. The Northeast is the Brazilian region with the largest number of confirmed cases, therefore, the present study aimed to analyze the epidemiological situation of arboviruses (dengue, chikungunya and zika), in the municipality of Arapiraca-AL, from 2015 to 2018. This is a cross-sectional study with a descriptive and retrospective approach, with secondary data collected through the database of the Notifiable Disclosure Information System (SINAN). In the studied period, a total of 17,610 cases of arboviruses were registered, highlighting dengue with 16,328 cases. Adults were the most affected, as well as females (55.3%). Given the data shown, it can be seen that Dengue remains a serious public health problem, mainly due to the presence of the main vector plus the co-circulation of other arboviruses such as chikungunya and zika, increasing the difficulty of diagnosis and adequate early treatment.
